Lecture on Strategic Leadership by Bob De Wit, professor at Nyenrode Business University
WILLEMSTAD, CURAÇAO – The Marketing Network Curaçao, in collaboration with CHATA, is organizing a lecture on “Strategic Leadership” on Tuesday August 13, from 8 a.m. in the Avila Beach Hotel.
“We are on the eve of a revolution that will change the whole society. Various technologies will not only lead to a fourth industrial revolution but to a social revolution.” says Bob de Wit, professor of Strategic Leadership at Nyenrode Business University. In this lecture De Wit will reflect on the question of what such a “social revolution” means for the strategy of companies and the leadership that is needed.
The digital revolution is more fundamental than we think; as technological advances occur, a new societal phase is beginning. The fundamentals of our society, including the importance of employment, will be endangered, what does this mean for the future?
De Wit has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an MBA from the “Interdisciplinary Institute” Business Administration in Delft. He obtained a PhD in “Management Science” at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In addition to his work as a professor, consultant and director of Strategy Works, De Wit is the author of several books, including the books “Strategy: An international perspective” and “Strategy Synthesis”, both used at universities and business schools in 52 countries. The books are used at more than 200 universities and business schools worldwide and have been sold more than 400,000 times. He is also a much sought-after guest speaker because he has the ability to persuade people to respond to future developments and explains how leaders can best manage these developments.
