The 18 year-old Ruënna Mercelina, which represented Curaçao in the Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus 2010-2011 Pageant scores with the Best in Evening Wear, after being a hard favorite for the crown since the beginning of the Caribbean pageant journey.
After two long weeks of tours, beautiful landscapes and presentations on the island of St. Martin, the finale of the Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus took place on December 4, 2010 at the Convention Center of Sonesta Maho Beach Resort.
Tineffa Naisso, Miss French Guyana resulted the ultimate winner of the Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus 2010-2011 crown, followed by Axel Lopez of Venezuela as First Runner-up, and Second Runner-up went to Marcia Baptiste of Dominica.
Miss Photogenic was won by Miss Jamaica, Miss Popularity by Miss St. Martin, Miss Amity was for Miss French Guyana, the best national costume was won by Miss Paraguay and our Miss Curaçao, Ruënna Mercelina won the title of best in evening wear.
The great work as beauty ambassador that Ruënna excelled during the weeks in St. Martin pays off when she gets the invitation of a judge that’s a famous French designer Jean Loussi that invites her to Paris at Grand Palace to launch his next fall collection wear together with Miss French Guyana and Miss Venezuela.
Right now our miss will be focused to finish her study in Marketing & Public Relations at the College of the Dutch Caribbean, and she will keep on working on her artistic career as model and actress.
First of all Ruënna’s success is an effort and hard work of a whole team, conducted by entertainment enterprise WENSHOW who also supported her in St. Martin.
Guided by Gwendell Mercelina Jr, we had Rodney Aniseto of Yendor’s Art who took care of her image (hair and make-up), Stevan Llewellyn of SevenMedia who was the media representative and who is now composing a documentary of Ruënna’s participation in the pageant.
